I believe in stories that touch the heart, shift our perspectives.
With a great love of the human psyche (she even has a letter from her 10 year old self saying she wanted to grow up to become a “psycholojest” and writing she began telling her children stories to help them through difficult times. Those stories can now be found in her published work and on her Substack as a podcast for kids.
Rachel graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology before earning her Master’s In Education. She’s spent over 20 years working with children, young adults, and families in a wide variety of settings from mental health and substance abuse counseling to autism research assistant under the late Dr. Brian Iwata and Dr. Vollmer.
For the past five years, she’s reached over 5 million parents worldwide through her blog and YouTube channel, Confidently Mom; a lifestyle brand helping parents find the best baby and toddler toys and gear, activities for kids, montessori at home parenting tips, and simple hacks to make everyday parenting easier.
At her core, though, she’s a storyteller. Writing since she could hold a pen and talking a mile a minute. Now as a homeschooling mom of two, avid reader, and YA TV junkie, she pours her love of characters, connection, and transformation into children’s books and her substack.
✨ Join her on Substack where she share embodied parenting stories and reflections, printable PDF kid activities, and practical guides/tips that help families thrive. There you’ll even find sneak peeks of upcoming books in podcast format your kids can listen to.

“As a teacher and a parent, I can honestly say this belongs on every classroom and home bookshelf. It helps kids slow down, empathize, and repair when they make mistakes—skills we ALL need.”
– Melissa T., kindergarten teacher + mom
